The Sprinkler “Turn-On” service is generally done during the month of April. Our qualified technicians perform duties listed below:

• Open the main water supply(s) for the sprinkler systems at each individual tap location.
• Activate each zone from the controller(s) and insure that all zones operate automatically.
• Evaluate each zone in operation, checking for poly zone line leaks, PVC leaks and broken heads.
• Adjust all heads as needed, to ensure proper operation and minimize any overspray onto hardscape / driveways / walkways / residence, etc.
• Clean grass overgrowth from around heads to prevent any blockage of the spray.
• Raise heads as required to gain clearance of any plant material as required.
• Program Automatic Controller to spring watering schedule.
• Manually test all rain sensors to insure proper operation.
• If the sprinkler system requires any major repairs, Cow Bay will supply the owner with a written report, as well as a budget price to do the work. If you would like to proceed with the work, then an appointment will be scheduled according to availability.

As the weather changes, the watering needs of your property change. To promote a healthy landscape and a fine tuned sprinkler system, we recommend this service, which consists of the following:

• Activate each zone and check for proper coverage and operation.
• Adjust all heads as needed.
• Perform visual inspection of landscape and look for areas of over watering / under watering or plant material in decline.
• Trim grass around lawn heads to prevent blockage.
• Raise shrub heads to accommodate growth of plants.
• Check for leaks in zone lines / drip lines / main lines.
• Adjust timer for seasonal watering needs.
• If any major repairs are needed, they will be brought to your attention for approval prior to any commencement of work.

This service is done at the end of the sprinkler season in November depending on the needs of the landscape. For the Winter Turn-Off the following will be done:

• Each individual main water supply(s) for the sprinkler systems is closed.
• Hook-up air compressor to exterior winterizing port in valve boxes.
• Go through system, zone by zone, and purge water from lines with approximately 90 p.s.i of air pressure.
• Switch controllers to Off / Rain position for Winter Season.

We are happy to share that Creative Landscaping also offers On Demand Service calls to our clients. Due to our busy schedule these services and the parts used during the services are offered at an additional rate. The reason that the On Demand Service and parts cost extra is due to technician availability, parts availability and time constraints.
